Poppy Card

Hi everyone!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using a Penny Black Poppy Stamp. I adore poppies and when I saw this stamp I had to have it. 

I recently took a class at Scrapbook N Memories in Harrisonville, MO (this is an AMAZING store) with my mom. We learned how to do watercolor with stamps, and the class featured the Penny Black Floral stamps. 

In the class we used Tombow markers, of which I don't own any. So I decided to try the same techniques I learned, but using the Tim Holtz Distress Stains with the dauber tops. I recently acquired a whole bunch of these (thank you Tuesday Morning!) so I have been looking for ways to use them.   





I used my Mini Misti for this technique, which came in handy!! I originally had not intended to offset the outline once I was done, but silly me picked up the stamp. Oops. But I was still very happy with how it turned out!!



Here is the finished card!!

For this I used the following:

Bristol Smooth Cardstock
Penny Black Poppy Stamp
Tim Holtz Distress Stains in: Ground Espresso, Candied Apple, Fired Brick, Crushed Olive, and Peeled Paint. Ground Espresso Distress Ink (for the outline of the poppy and the edges of the card)
Vintage Photo Distress Ink 

I am planning on doing this technique again and doing a Snap Guide for it. Stay tuned!!

Feel Better Shaker Card

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my very first shaker card!! I have been watching all kinds of videos on shaker cards and I have just been so inspired to make one myself. So I went to Michaels and Joann and bought everything I would possibly need for fillers (hooray for coupons!!) Configurations Box with Nature Sketchbook

So I have fallen completely in love with Graphic 45's Nature Sketchbook paper. The colors and patterns are so gorgeous and my favorite thing about the paper is the loads and loads of butterflies!!!!!!! I LOVE to fussy cut butterflies and pop them up on my projects to make them 3D. So when I got this paper I instantly wanted to do a configurations box from Tim Holtz. I had never used one before, and this just seemed like the perfect paper to use with it. It also helped that I hit Joann Craft store right at Black Friday time and got a ton of Idea-Ology things to put in the box to help fill it out. I really love the way this turned out! I think what took the longest was trying to figure out how I wanted all the boxes arranged. I think measured them all and cover the insides of the box. Graphic 45 Design Team Audition 2016

So it's that awesome time of the year when Graphic 45 has their design team auditions! So my name is Altina Robinson, and I am 24 years old from Springfield, MO. I was introduced to Graphic 45 when I was I believe 16, and the Steampunk Debutante collection was phasing out (I have both the 12x12 and the 8x8 in my stash.) I have been into arts and crafts since I was a little kid, and was introduced to paper crafting when I was about 15.
