Record Inspired Layout

I am a HUGE lover of music. I will listen to just about anything, but my favorite music is rock.

Last October I got to see the band Anberlin live when they came close to my hometown. I was so excited! They were fantasic live!

I have SO many concert pictures from the many concerts I have been too, but I have a hard time scrapbooking them since not a lot of paper goes with rock concerts.

While doing another layout using DCWV's Mod-Retro stack, I came across this really awesome page that looked like a vinyl record. Anberlin actually released their last two albums to vinyl and I own one.  My brother gave my dad a record player for his birthday, and the sound of a vinyl is so cool!

So that memory along with this paper inspired me to do an Anberlin page.

The gold paper is from the DCWV Tradewinds Cardstock stack. I saw the gold and thought "gold record."

The quote is from the song "Audrey, Start the Revoultion!"

Hope you like my page! Feel free to leave a comment :)

Until next time,

  1. This is so clever and cool! Great idea for using the LP idea for the page! Love your composition too!

My husband has a music room with over 3000 LPs. He always says that vinyl is much cooler than anything else.

Recycle Packaging from Graphic 45 Staples!

While I was cleaning up all my art supplies the other day, I found the part of the packaging from the Graphic 45 drawer pulls I had used in one of my recent up cycles. I almost threw it away when the thought occurred to me that I should use it as a tag! So I set it aside until I had some free time to work on it. So this............. Became this...... I just love the way this turned out! I had the Artisan Style paper sitting in my collection for awhile and decided this would be the perfect thing to use it on! For detailed instructions just check out my snapguide: Check out How to Recycle Graphic 45 Packaging With Artisan Style by Altina Robinson on Snapguide . Thanks for stopping by!! -Altina R.

Feel Better Shaker Card

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my very first shaker card!! I have been watching all kinds of videos on shaker cards and I have just been so inspired to make one myself. So I went to Michaels and Joann and bought everything I would possibly need for fillers (hooray for coupons!!) I was inspired to do a get well card for the 6th challenge on the Lawn Fawn Fanatics blog. I used the Baked with Love and the Treat Yourself stamp sets for this card. I am so happy with the way this card turned out. I love the colors, and I LOVE the shaker element. I will definitely be making more of these cards in the future!! If you want to see how I made this card please check out the video below: Thanks for stopping by! -A.R.

Graphic 45 Design Team Audition 2016

So it's that awesome time of the year when Graphic 45 has their design team auditions! So my name is Altina Robinson, and I am 24 years old from Springfield, MO. I was introduced to Graphic 45 when I was I believe 16, and the Steampunk Debutante collection was phasing out (I have both the 12x12 and the 8x8 in my stash.) I have been into arts and crafts since I was a little kid, and was introduced to paper crafting when I was about 15. It started out with scrapbooking, which turned into card making, which turned into art journaling, and well, you get the point. So for my first project I found a Tim Holtz mini clipboard at Michaels and knew I HAD to do something with it. So for this project I used the new Voyage Beneath the Sea collection. I love this collection ( I LOVE steampunk) and I love all the bright colors. For my second project I made a birthday card with Botanical Tea for a friend. I am a bit obsessive about my scraps, so I have them all organized by c...
